Philippines to receive five million Covid-19 vaccines this week

Over five million doses of coronavirus vaccines are set to arrive in the Philippines this week, including three million doses of Sinovac, 1.8 million doses of Moderna, and over 300,000 doses of Pfizer.

The government also anticipates receiving another ten million doses of Sinovac, five million doses of Pfizer, and about three million doses of Moderna in the coming weeks.

Additionally, the Philippines received 582,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines procured by the private sector and local government units through a tripartite deal with the national government on Thursday.

The country has already received over 46 million vaccine doses, with approximately 29.13 million doses administered as of August 18.
