Philippines logs low number of new COVID-19 cases for sixth consecutive day

MANILA – For the sixth straight day, new Covid-19 cases were below 10,000 as the Department of Health (DOH) tallied 8,361 on Sunday.

The Department of Health on Sunday reported 8,361 new COVID-19 cases, raising the country's case count to 3,609,568 as two laboratories failed to submit data on time.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday recorded 32 new COVID-19 infections among its personnel, bringing its total coronavirus infections to 48,567.

MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday tallied 7,689 new SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) infections, the fifth straight day below the 10,000-mark.
