Philippines logs 83% increase in dengue cases

The Philippines recorded 65,190 dengue cases from January 1 to July 2, 2022, marking an 83% increase compared to the same period in 2021.

As of July 2, there were 274 deaths due to dengue with Central Luzon, Central Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula reporting the highest number of cases.

From June 5 to July 2 alone, 16,324 new cases were recorded, with Central Luzon accounting for 20% of these cases.
