Philippines logs 102K dengue cases from Jan.-July

The Philippines has recorded 102,619 dengue cases from January to July 30, 2022, marking a 131% increase compared to the same period in 2021.

A total of 368 deaths due to dengue were reported this year with Central Luzon recording the highest number of cases at 18,664 or 18%.

Central Visayas and the National Capital Region followed with 10% and 9% respectively.

From July 3 to July 30 alone, there were 23,414 dengue cases reported, with Central Luzon leading at 5,838 or 25%.

Nine out of the 17 regions in the country exceeded the epidemic threshold for dengue in the past four weeks.
