PH extends travel ban on 10 countries until Aug 31

The Philippines extended its travel ban from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia until August 31.

This decision was based on an Inter-Agency Task Force resolution to control the spread of the Delta variant.

President Duterte approved this extension upon recommendation by the IATF-EID.

Filipinos returning from these countries through the Foreign Affairs Department's repatriation program are allowed entry if they test negative for COVID-19 and complete a 14-day facility-based quarantine.

Airlines have been asked not to fly in foreigners from these countries, but international transit hub operations within Terminal 3 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport have resumed with certain limitations.
