DOH reports 640 more Delta variant cases

The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday that 640 more Delta variant cases were detected in the Philippines, bringing the total to 2,708.

Of these new cases, 584 are local infections, 52 involve returning overseas Filipinos (ROF), and four cases are still being verified.

The National Capital Region had the highest number of local Delta variant cases with 112, followed by Cagayan Valley with 52 and Calabarzon with 49.

Three cases are currently active, 13 have died, and 624 have recovered according to the DOH.
