DOH: 252 PH health workers infected with COVID-19

As of Wednesday, April 8, 252 health workers in the Philippines have been infected with COVID-19, including 152 doctors and 63 nurses.

Dr. Beverly Ho from the DOH confirmed that at least 11 healthcare workers have died due to the virus.

The Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines reported a higher death toll of 21 doctors.

This is the first time the DOH has released data on health workers infected with COVID-19, citing incomplete case investigation forms as the reason for delayed information.
