Philippine Team Sibol wins first esports gold in Wild Rift

Philippine Team Sibol secured the country's first gold medal in esports at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games with a 3-1 victory over Vietnam in League of Legends: Wild Rift.

The team, consisting of Chammy Nazarrea, Justine Tan, Aaron Bingay, Golden Hart Dajao, and Reniel Angara, clinched the gold after winning three out of four matches.

This win marks a significant breakthrough for the Philippines as they missed the podium in the previous edition held in Hanoi last year.

Sibol's victory brings the country's total medal count to 14 gold medals at the games.
