PHAPI: Most severe COVID-19 patients unvaxxed

The Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PHAPI) reported on Thursday that most severe and critical COVID-19 patients in private hospitals are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.

DOH officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire confirmed an increase in severe and critical cases but stated they remain below the 10 percent threshold.

Vergeire added that 60% of current severe and critical cases were unvaccinated or only partially vaccinated individuals, emphasizing the need for full vaccination.
