PH positivity rate below 5% for 14 days, DOH eyes WHO guidance

The Philippines' COVID-19 positivity rate has remained below 5% for 14 consecutive days, with the latest report on Friday, Nov 26 showing a rate of 2.5%.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said they will seek guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO) to determine if the country can declare that the COVID-19 pandemic has been controlled and contained.

The DOH aims to maintain this low positivity rate for at least two more weeks before considering reopening measures.
