DOH reports 1,190 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health reported 1,190 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, November 17, bringing the total number of active infections to 23,846.

This is the lowest active case count since January 12.

There were also 2,759 recoveries and 309 deaths reported.

On Tuesday, the DOH recorded 849 new cases, which was the lowest single-day tally in over 10 months due to low testing output over the weekend.

The total number of active cases decreased to 25,464 with 2,393 recoveries.

Of the active cases, 58.1% are mild, 5.2% are asymptomatic, 12% are severe, and 5% are in critical condition.
