PH logs 1,906 new COVID cases; recoveries hit 458K

The Philippines logged 1,906 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, January 10, bringing the total to 487,690.

Recoveries increased by 8,592, raising the recovery count to 458,198 and representing 94% of all confirmed cases.

The death toll rose to 9,405 with eight new fatalities reported.

Active cases stood at 20,087, with most (83%) being mild, followed by asymptomatic (5.8%), severe (3.7%), moderate (0.63%), and critical (6.8%).

The DOH also noted that five laboratories failed to submit reports on time.
