DOH reports 1,923 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health reported 1,923 new coronavirus infections on Friday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 365,799.

The death toll increased by 132 to 6,915 while recoveries rose by 424 to 312,691.

Active cases stood at 46,193 with 83.6% showing mild symptoms, 11.3% asymptomatic, 1.8% severe, and 3.2% critical.

Davao City recorded the highest number of new cases (99), followed by Cavite and Manila (each with 94), Quezon City (92), and Negros Occidental (89).

Metro Manila had the most newly reported deaths (47), followed by Central Luzon (33), Calabarzon (23), Western Visayas (10), Central Visayas (8), Bicol (3), and Caraga (2).
