Philippines reports 3,372 new COVID-19 cases

The Philippines reported 3,372 new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases on Sunday, September 13, raising the overall tally to 261,216 with a total of 49,277 active cases.

Most additional cases were from Metro Manila with 1,307, followed by Cavite with 240, Laguna with 207, Negros Occidental with 199, and Bulacan with 145.

The Department of Health also reported 20,472 new recoveries and 79 deaths, bringing the total number of recoveries to 207,568 and the number of deaths to 4,371.

Active cases are distributed as about 87.6 percent mild, 8.8 percent asymptomatic, 1.4 percent severe, and 2.2 percent critical.
