DOH: PH has 140 confirmed coronavirus cases

Health authorities are intensifying efforts to detect possible cases of the novel coronavirus in the Philippines.

As of March 15, the DOH has conducted 874 tests and identified 140 confirmed cases, with 122 hospitalized, 5 under home quarantine, 2 recovered, and 11 deceased.

The number of patients under investigation increased to 183 on Sunday, while those under monitoring rose to 2,215.

President Duterte declared a state of public health emergency on March 9 due to local transmission confirmation.
