Philippines Increases Probe of Suspected Coronavirus Cases

The Philippines is intensifying its investigation of individuals with respiratory symptoms to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

As of February 20, the DOH has probed a total of 556 patients across various regions, with no local transmission recorded. Out of these cases, three have been confirmed positive, one resulting in death and two recoveries.

The breakdown shows Metro Manila leading with 199 suspected cases, followed by Calabarzon (50), Central Luzon (60), and other regions with fewer cases.
