Philippines' COVID-19 cases rise to 4,932, death toll hits 315

The Philippines' death toll from COVID-19 rose to 315 on Monday with 18 new fatalities, while the total number of infections increased to 4,932 with 284 new cases.

Forty-five more patients recovered, bringing the total recoveries to 242.

As of Sunday evening, 35,804 individuals had been tested for COVID-19; 30,585 tested negative and 5,187 were positive.

The DOH reported 220 new cases on Sunday, raising the total to 4,648, with 50 new deaths increasing the toll to 297.

Forty patients recovered that day, bringing recoveries to 197; this is the highest one-day recovery count so far.
