1.5M Sinovac doses arrive, PH ranks 2nd in SEA vaccine rollout

A total of 1.5 million additional doses of Sinovac's COVID-19 vaccine have arrived in the Philippines, bringing the country's total supply to 9 million doses.

The shipment includes both government-ordered vaccines and a private sector order from the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc.

As of June 13, the Philippines has administered over 6.9 million doses of various COVID-19 vaccines, ranking second among Southeast Asian nations in vaccine rollout.

Healthcare workers have received over 2.4 million shots, while senior citizens and individuals with comorbidities have each received more than 2 million doses.

The government aims to vaccinate 500,000 people daily once the supply stabilizes this month, with more vaccines expected in June and July.
