Van Sickle helps Petro Gazz come back from 0-2 deficit to beat Chery Tiggo

Despite having undergone minor knee surgery last December, Brooke Van Sickle played a crucial role in Petro Gazz's comeback victory over Chery Tiggo on Tuesday night in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

Petro Gazz recovered from dropping the first two sets to win with a final score of 20-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-15, 15-7 at Philsports Arena.

Myla Pablo and Aiza Maizo-Pontillas each scored 18 points, while Van Sickle contributed seven points in the decisive fifth set and had 11 digs overall.

Petro Gazz's resilience was evident as they adjusted to Van Sickle not playing as a starter for most of the match, with Pablo leading the comeback effort.

Van Sickle praised Pablo’s leadership, noting that her team stayed focused despite a rough start, emphasizing the importance of mental strength and energy in volleyball.
