PDP Laban announces nine senatorial candidates for 2025 elections

The Partido ng Demokratiko Pilipino Lakas ng Bayan (PDP Laban), chaired by former President Rodrigo Duterte and led by Senator Robinhood Padilla as president, has officially announced nine senatorial candidates for the 2025 midterm elections.

Thursday's proclamation rally at Club Filipino in San Juan City featured eight previously announced candidates including Senators Bong Go and Bato Dela Rosa, lawyer Jimmy Bondoc, lawyer Raul Lambino, actor Philip Salvador, lawyer Jayvee Hinlo, Sagip party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, and detained pastor Apollo Quiboloy.

Former executive secretary Vic Rodriguez, who served as President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s campaign spokesperson in 2022, was also included among the official senatorial candidates.

PDP Laban aims to promote the 'Tapang at Malasakit' (courage and compassion) brand of public service, reflecting the governance style of the Duterte administration.

The party's candidates are committed to fighting illegal drugs, criminality, and graft and corruption, with Senator Dela Rosa rejecting President Marcos Jr.'s statement about a potential return to a bloody past if rival candidates are elected.
