PDEA arrests 'Irene' in Laguna, 'Anne' in Parañaque, seizes P1M shabu

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives arrested a female high-value target alias 'Irene' in Calamba City, Laguna on Thursday, March 27, while plainclothes policemen and agents from the PDEA seized P1 million worth of shabu from a male dealer in Barangay Guiwan, Zamboanga City, on Friday night.

Additionally, members of the Parañaque City Police conducted a buy-bust operation last Saturday where they arrested another high-value target alias 'Anne,' aged 43, along with five cohorts in Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City.

The suspects were apprehended due to reported drug proliferation and seized multiple sachets containing 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000, two mobile phones with evidence of drug transactions, and other paraphernalia.

Both operations in Laguna and Parañaque were supported by confidential informants and local officials, underscoring the ongoing anti-narcotics campaign in various parts of the country.

The confiscated drugs from both operations have been sent to PDEA laboratories for further analysis, with suspects facing charges under Section 5 of Republic Act 9165 or 'The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002'.

Confidential informants and local officials played a crucial role in the successful execution of these buy-bust operations.
