PCSO to transfer P420M to PhilHealth for coronavirus

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) will transfer PHP420 million to PhilHealth to support government efforts against the coronavirus pandemic.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles announced on March 25 that PCSO has been directed to transfer this amount as part of Executive Order No. 108 signed by President Duterte.

The funds, which were set aside early in February as a proactive measure, will cover 50% of the remaining standby fund from an earlier executive order issued during the SARS epidemic in 2003.
