PCG records over 33K outbound passengers on Holy Wednesday

The Philippine Coast Guard recorded over 33,000 outbound passengers on April 13, 2022, as Filipinos traveled for Holy Week.

By noon on Wednesday, the number of inbound passengers was around 25,048 with at least 2,252 frontline personnel deployed across 15 Coast Guard districts to inspect vessels and motorbancas.

On April 10, ahead of Holy Week, over 29,000 outbound passengers were monitored by the PCG along with nearly 30,000 inbound passengers.

The PCG had placed its districts on heightened alert from April 8 to May 31 to manage passenger influx and ensure safety during Holy Week and summer vacation.

Passengers are advised to coordinate through the PCG's official Facebook page or Coast Guard Public Affairs for concerns regarding sea travel protocols.
