PBA teams seek LGU approval to resume Metro Manila practices

Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) teams are seeking local government unit (LGU) approval to resume practices in Metro Manila following the downgrade of NCR and nearby provinces to General Community Quarantine.

Teams have already applied for permission from LGUs where their practice venues are located, with some expressing eagerness to begin training as soon as possible.

League commissioner Willie Marcial stated that teams must secure permits from their respective LGUs before commencing practices and should complete all necessary protocols including two swab tests.

Marcial is hopeful that all teams can start scrimmaging by May 20, which would help the league stay on track for a June opening.
