IATF directs DOTr to craft protocols for partial transport ops

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has directed the Department of Transportation to craft protocols for a possible partial lifting of public transport restrictions amid the coronavirus pandemic.

DOTr, in cooperation with DILG, DOT, and DOH, is tasked to recommend guidelines that adhere to social distancing, isolation, and quarantine measures.

Secretary Arthur Tugade mentioned during a Laging Handa briefing that IATF-EID is considering limited operations of public utility buses and trains based on NEDA Secretary Karl Chua's studies.
