Speaker Cayetano has '99.9 percent' chance of staying

House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano has a '99.9 percent' chance of retaining his position, according to fellow lawmaker Eric Go Yap.

Yap denied reports that President Rodrigo Duterte's son, Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte, planned to orchestrate a power grab over the allocation of funds in the 2021 budget.

Paolo Duterte did not send a message declaring Cayetano and deputy speakers' positions as vacant; instead, he asked the Mindanao bloc if they had any complaints.
