PAOCC: Bamban mayor key in POGO operations

Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo remains a key figure in illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) operations and should be held responsible, according to the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC).

PAOCC spokesperson Winston Casio stated that Guo could only become a state witness if she points to someone 'higher' than her in the conspiratorial chain.

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian noted it is difficult to determine whether Guo can be a state witness based on her revelations, emphasizing the complexity of legal proceedings and urging her to expose the main players involved.

Gatchalian warned against trusting Guo's potential testimony due to her alleged history of lying and urged the Bureau of Immigration to improve its technology for identity verification.

Senator Risa Hontiveros supported OSG's move and urged Mayor Alice Guo to attend a Senate hearing on July 10 to expose those behind the illegal activities.

Casio also confirmed that Guo is currently the highest identified individual in the investigation, disqualifying her from being a state witness due to her not appearing as the least guilty person involved.
