Panelo apologizes to Robredo for 'incorrect' info on relief ops

Salvador Panelo apologized to Vice President Leni Robredo on Wednesday for accusing her of using a military aircraft to deliver relief goods in typhoon-hit Catanduanes.

Robredo denied boarding the C-130 plane, and her spokesperson Barry Gutierrez asked Panelo to verify his facts.

Panelo clarified that he was not spreading fake news but was given incorrect information.

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana confirmed through the Philippine Air Force's flight manifest that Robredo did not board any military aircraft to go to Catanduanes.
