Provinces aid Batangas Taal victims

The provincial governments of Pangasinan, Bulacan, and Pampanga have extended aid to residents displaced by the Taal Volcano eruption in Batangas.

On Thursday, Jan 16, Pangasinan sent food and non-food relief goods including rice, canned goods, family food packs, and bottled water.

The day before, Governor Daniel Fernando of Bulacan led a team that distributed relief goods and gave PHP1 million to Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas.

On Monday, Jan 13, Pampanga's Governor Dennis Pineda led a convoy with medical teams, social workers, and volunteers bringing food packs and equipment to help in evacuations.

The assistance is seen as repayment for support given during previous disasters affecting their provinces.
