Palace vows steady aid for Bicol, West Visayas flood victims

The government has provided PHP1.6 million worth of aid to families affected by flooding in Regions 5 and 6.

As of January 7, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, local government units, and private partners have given assistance to flood victims.

Nine families are currently in evacuation centers in Camarines Sur while 4,207 families are in evacuation centers in Negros Occidental.

Around 1,100 residents were rescued from flooded areas in Talisay City and Victoria City in Negros Occidental.
