Palace sees eased NCR COVID-19 restrictions after Oct 15

The Palace said Monday that quarantine restrictions in Metro Manila may be eased due to lower COVID-19 cases.

Presidential Spox Harry Roque cited Dr. Guido David's report from OCTA Research Group, indicating the reproduction rate of Delta variant is back at July-August levels.

Roque noted ICU bed capacity for COVID-19 patients in Metro Manila is now moderate risk, a positive factor for easing restrictions.

As of October 10, two-week growth and daily case numbers are -13% and -46%, respectively, supporting the reduction but ultimately it's up to IATF.
