Palace: Retained Cabinet officials face ongoing performance reviews

Malacañang announced on Thursday that all Cabinet officials, including those retained by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., will continue to undergo performance evaluations.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro clarified during a briefing that the process is not complete with the acceptance or rejection of courtesy resignations and emphasized that ongoing performance evaluations will ensure efficient service from retained members.

Castro stressed that while those retained still hold the President's trust, they must remain vigilant as continuing assessments are ongoing to deliver fast and effective service to Filipinos.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin earlier noted the third phase of the 'bold reset' where most Cabinet members were retained, indicating potential future changes based on these evaluations.

The review process extends beyond just Cabinet-level positions to include other officials within the administration, with fates of several remaining Cabinet members yet to be determined.
