Palace backs fundable PHP140B stimulus

Malacañang is pushing for an economic stimulus package to address the effects of COVID-19, but wants it to be fundable without excessive borrowing.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque cited Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III's suggestion that the government should maintain a good credit rating and avoid over-borrowing.

Roque stated that Malacañang supports a stimulus package costing around P140 billion, as proposed by Dominguez.
