Palace sees August inflation dip as positive development

The Philippine inflation rate eased to 2.4% in August from 2.7% in July.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque called this a positive development as it keeps basic goods stable during the pandemic.

Roque emphasized that ensuring Filipinos do not go hungry remains the government's top priority.

He added that the government will continue to monitor prices and ensure unhampered delivery of essential commodities despite localized restrictions.
