PAGASA forecasts rain showers, scattered thunderstorms in PH

Most parts of the Philippines will experience cloudy skies with isolated rain showers in the next 24 hours, according to PAGASA's weather forecast released on Saturday.

Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, and Sarangani province can expect cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Metro Manila and other regions will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms and the easterlies.

PAGASA warns of possible flash floods or landslides in areas experiencing heavy rain or severe thunderstorms, and also advises that heat index could reach a 'danger' level in 16 locations on Sunday.

Light to moderate winds from east to southeast are expected, along with slight to moderate coastal water conditions.

The sun will rise at 5:32 a.m. and set at 6:14 p.m. on Sunday in Metro Manila.
