Pagasa warns 30 areas face 'danger' level heat, including Roxas City, Zamboanga

Roxas City and Zamboanga are expected to experience a heat index of 45 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, April 23, according to Pagasa.

A total of 30 areas across the country will face 'danger' level temperatures ranging from 42 to 46 degrees Celsius, including Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City and Science Garden in Quezon City.

Pagasa warns that prolonged exposure to such high temperatures can lead to heat cramps, exhaustion, and even heat stroke.

The state weather bureau advises limiting outdoor activities, staying hydrated, using protective clothing, and scheduling heavy work during cooler times of the day.

Symptoms of heat-related illnesses include heavy sweating, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting, with severe cases requiring immediate medical attention.
