PAGASA forecasts light rains in Northern Luzon, isolated showers elsewhere

PAGASA reported on Thursday that light rains are expected in Northern Luzon and Batanes due to the northeasterly wind flow.

Affected areas include Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Babuyan Islands with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms possible over these regions.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by easterlies, with potential for flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said that hot and humid conditions would prevail across the rest of the country due to the easterlies, which bring warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.

The public is urged to remain vigilant as PAGASA has not monitored any low-pressure areas or tropical cyclones near or within the country's area of responsibility.
