PAGASA declares start of dry season

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) declared the start of the dry season on Wednesday.

This marks the end of the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan season due to the retreat of the High Pressure Area over Siberia.

With easterlies as the prevailing weather system, Filipinos can expect warm and humid conditions, particularly in the mornings.

PAGASA advises taking precautionary measures against heat stress and optimizing water use.

Short periods of rain and thunderstorms may occur in the afternoon or evening.
