OWWA chief Ignacio tests positive for COVID-19

Arnell Ignacio, the newly appointed administrator of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, Aug 11.

Ignacio has been in quarantine for four days and plans to announce his agenda once he completes his isolation period.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had appointed Ignacio as OWWA administrator on Aug 9, replacing Hans Leo Cacdac.

Mary Melanie Quiño and Emma Sinclair were also named deputy administrators of OWWA, with Quiño taking over from Ignacio in the previous role.
