Marcos appoints OWWA chief, DMW undersecretaries

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. appointed Arnell Ignacio as the new head of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and Leo J. Cacdac as DMW undersecretary for Welfare and Foreign Employment.

Arnell Ignacio, a comedian who previously served as OWWA deputy administrator, will lead OWWA while Bernard P. Olalia from POEA was appointed as DMW undersecretary for Licensing and Adjudication.

OWWA aims to protect the welfare of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families, provide assistance to distressed OFWs, and offer livelihood training programs for reintegration.
