Over 969K Ilocos residents get booster jabs

Over 969,000 residents in the Ilocos region have received booster shots as of August 7.

The DOH's 'PinasLakas' campaign aims to vaccinate an additional 1.7 million people by October 8.

DOH-CHD-1 director Dr. Paula Paz Sydiongco said they are improving accessibility by setting up vaccination centers in various locations such as terminals, plazas, and schools.

As of August 7, the daily average cases in the region have increased by 42.4% compared to the last week of July.

The DOH is urging residents to get their booster shots to protect against rising COVID-19 cases.
