Over 23.8M students enrolled, DepEd targets 27.7M

As of August 5, over 23.8 million students have enrolled for School Year 2024-2025, representing 86.10% of last year's enrollees.

The Department of Education (DepEd) aims to reach a total of 27.7 million enrollees this school year, with 20.86 million in public schools and 2.67 million in private institutions as of the latest monitoring report.

Enrollment figures show that Calabarzon leads with 3.4 million students, followed by Central Luzon with 2.5 million, while the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) has the least enrollees at 392,708.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara noted that continuous enrollment remains open until September 16 for those who have not yet enrolled.
