Over 1K Mideast OFWs arrive in Manila

Over 1,000 overseas Filipino workers repatriated from the Middle East have arrived in Manila.

The first batch of 345 OFWs from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the second batch of 410 OFWs from Lebanon flew in on Monday via Philippine Airlines and Qatar Airways respectively.

A third group of 400 OFWs mostly staying at POLO in Dubai also arrived via Cebu Pacific Air.

DOLE facilitated their repatriation through coordination with POLO, OWWA, DFA, and the workers' employers.

Upon arrival, the OFWs underwent swab tests by OWWA and the Philippine Coast Guard before being taken to quarantine facilities.
