Over 16k OFWs return, 800 leave PH amid quarantine

From April 1 to 20, a total of 16,744 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) returned to the Philippines based on Bureau of Immigration records.

Additionally, 27,062 non-OFW Filipinos arrived during this period while 851 OFWs and 4,164 non-OFW Filipinos left the country.

During the same timeframe, 914 foreigners entered the Philippines, primarily consisting of foreign spouses, children of Filipino citizens, officials of foreign organizations, and their dependents.

Departing individuals included authorized OFWs, permanent residents abroad, student visa holders, and other foreign nationals wishing to return home.
