Olivarez College secured the top seed in the first phase of elims with a dominant 75-60 victory over Philippine Women's University on Thursday, February 27.

The OC Sealions' strong performance was highlighted by foreign-student athlete Hakim Njiasse, who contributed 17 points and 10 rebounds despite limited playing time.

Host Diliman College narrowly defeated the University of Batangas with a 74-72 score, improving their record to 6-3.

In the crucial third quarter, Diliman College outscored the UB Brahmans by 25-8 to establish a significant lead and secure the win.

The second round of elims is set to begin on Saturday, with Olivarez College leading Group 1 alongside other teams based on their current standings.
