CEU beats Olivarez 98-92 after double OT

Reigning champion Centro Escolar University (CEU) avenged their earlier loss to Olivarez College with a 98-92 victory after two overtimes on Monday, March 3, at Paco Arena in Manila.

Dylan Darbin, who had been a minor factor in CEU's previous wins, scored a crucial 39 points and made key plays late in the second overtime to secure the win.

Israel Friday contributed significantly with 20 points and 33 rebounds, while CJ Singson added 14 points for CEU, which is seeking its third consecutive title.

Olivarez College's Hakim Njiasse, usually a high scorer, was limited to just 3 points and 10 rebounds in the game.

The match featured the league's first double overtime period, with Darbin making critical free throws at the end of regulation and second overtime to seal CEU's victory.
