Oftana scores 22 points despite late return from intl duty

Calvin Oftana, a key player for TNT Tropang Giga, demonstrated his passion and dedication to basketball despite arriving home at 1 a.m. Tuesday after duty with Gilas Pilipinas and suffering from jet lag.

Oftana scored 22 points, including six three-pointers, along with four rebounds, three assists, and two steals in the 88-84 victory over Rain or Shine in Game 1 of their semifinals series on Wednesday.

The player highlighted his adaptability and commitment, noting how accustomed he has become to traveling for games and making sacrifices for the sport he loves.

In a grueling stretch, Oftana went scoreless in nine minutes against Chinese-Taipei before posting eight points in 16 minutes when Gilas was beaten by New Zealand.

Despite fatigue from international travel, Oftana’s performance in Game 1 showed his dedication and skill, contributing significantly to TNT's victory.
