Odette causes vaccine wastage, damages health facilities

Typhoon Odette caused additional vaccine wastage due to power interruptions, with around 100 vials of Pfizer wasted in Iloilo.

The National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) is providing guidance to local government units on how to determine which vaccines remain safe after temperature fluctuations.

Seven health facilities were damaged in Caraga and Region 7, resulting in an estimated P8.3 million worth of damage.

A total of 637 LGUs canceled their vaccination activities due to the typhoon, with full cancellations reported in Regions 4-B, 6, 7, 8, and Caraga.
