OCTA: NCR COVID-19 reproduction rate down to 1.91

As of Wednesday, March 24, 2021, OCTA Research reported that the reproduction number for COVID-19 in NCR had decreased to 1.91 from 1.99.

OCTA noted it is too early to determine if this decrease signals a downward trend in cases within the GCQ bubble including Laguna, Bulacan, Cavite, and Rizal.

Earlier projections by OCTA suggest that if the reproduction number decreases to 1.5 within two weeks starting March 22, there could be a downtrend in new daily cases peaking at around 6,200 in four weeks.
