Nine MMDA employees test positive for COVID-19

Nine employees of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) have contracted COVID-19, with six cases reported on Monday and three additional cases confirmed on Sunday.

The MMDA has continued its operations despite the infections by conducting contact tracing among its staff.

General Manager Jojo Garcia said that while nine personnel are infected, some are recovering and others are asymptomatic.

Chair Danilo Lim had ordered a suspension of work from July 9 to 10 for sanitization and disinfection following the initial cases.
